In order to be registered as a design, the design/model must comply two requirements: Novelty and its individual character.
A model is new if there isn’t an identical model available for the public before the depot is registered. A model is identical when the models differ in insignificant details.
A model has an individual character if the overall impression generated by the informed user (in the relevant sector), differs from the general impression created for the public by the use of designs, because the designed added a unique element to the design. So, the new design distinguishes its self from the existing designs.
